Dreams about Peru excited my imagination for a long time. Every year I tried to get to Peru as it is one of the most mysterious places on our planet, but for various reasons the trip was always cancelled. Finally I managed to visit it and Peru became the 101st country on my travel map.
I spent a month there and now I know for sure what is worth seeing, doing, visiting.
I began to plan a new trip to Peru right after I was back. I realized that I will be back again and again as this great country will always have something to surprise me. There are still discussions about the ancient history of this extraordinary place hidden between the majestic peaks of Andes. Even scientists did not crack all the mysteries of the region yet.
Let’s do this exciting adventure together! I offer you not a standard route that you can get easily in whatever travel agency. I offer a great adventure that will definitely become one of the best experiences of your life. I am not a bored guide who treat tourist as a regular routine. I will be your companion, your partner, your assistant – the one to guide you through the world of amazing discoveries. For me it is what makes every trip special and unique – the fact that I am interested as much as you are.
We are going to see true Peru, not its touristic version. Being an independent traveler with great experience I neither use the classical routes (although I study them before travelling) nor the travel agencies services.
It fascinates me to explore hidden treasures, secret places, to visit restaurants that local community like, to try the tasty dishes prepared by the hospitable inhabitants of the faraway mountain villages. I will show you Peru like I saw it, Peru that amazed me: diverse, colorful, delicious, hospitable, a bit crazy, with a long history and amazing cultural heritage that attract and impress travelers for centuries.
So, a real mounting trekking is waiting for us. The main goal is to do a famous Salkantay trekking, to visit Machu Picchu and other archeological sites of the Sacred Inca Valley.
10-day trekking requires being fit. We will sleep in the tents, carry our trekking gear and food, walk a large distance but the most important is a fact that our route lies 4000 meters above the sea level so it is highly advisable to have the similar experience.
The starting point of the trek is Cusco – a former capital of the great Inca Empire – a place with a great history that counts more than 3000 years.
