Why Armenia worth a visit?
To get deeper into the Armenian history. Armenia was the first country that accepted Christianity. Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world, even older than Rome. Unique fortresses, monasteries that are thousands of years old are conserved on the whole country’s area. And these are not just tourist sites, the temples are really working.
Energy, atmosphere, uniqueness multiplied by stunning landscapes, nature, canyons and mountains – this is what is waiting for a curious traveler in Armenia.

To swim in Armenian sea. Sevan lake is so big that can be easily called a sea. Besides many local people do really call the lake a sea! Freshwater Sevan lake with its deep blue colors that is located 2000 meters above the sea level is a symbol of Armenia and the largest lake in the whole Caucasus.

To try Armenian food. Armenian food is a feast for the stomach! The local food is already a reason to come to Armenia. Every trip includes best (not tourist) places – perfect for trying Armenian specialties. My local friends who call themselves gastronomic gourmets provide me the insider information about best restaurants of Armenia that are popular among local people and that are definitely worth a visit. Armenia is a country of famous brandy, pomegranate vine and delicious Sevan crayfish
To see the mountains. Armenia is the country of the extinct volcanoes and mountains. The most famous mountain here is Mount Aragaz that is 4090 meters high. It is almost impossible to describe the beauty of these places with words, Mountains should definitely be seen and admired. Travel itinerary includes mountaineering and I am sure it will be a lifetime experience. Mount Ararat is located on the territory of Turkey geographically. However it is the highest volcanic massif of the Armenian highland (according to Wikipedia). The height of Mount Ararat is 5165 meters above the sea level. Ararat can be seen from different places and viewpoints of Yerevan, but the best view can be captured in the early morning or during a sunset at the majestic monastery of Khor Virap.
