What are your three first associations with Spain? Sangria? For sure! Flamenco? Definitely! The sea and the beach? No doubts!
I am almost sure that only few of you would say: mountains! However trekking to Sierra Nevada and climbing the famous Mulhacen mount (the highest peak of continental Spain, almost 3500 meters above the sea level) is a life-time experience that you will share with your children and that would definitely change yourself and the world around.
If you are a beginner in trekking or mountains call you but you do not know how to start Mulhacen is a great option in a right season. No special skills are required. You just have to be fit and believe that only mountains can be better than mountains.
If you are an experienced trekker who had conquered various peaks Mulhacen will give you the drive that calls us to the mountains again and again, with great views, diverse routes and the warm company of people who feel the same way like you do.
Why should you do this trek with me?
Well, there are several reasons.
Firstly, travelling is my true passion. I have visited 103 countries and did dozens of mountain ascents. Being an independent traveler with a huge experience I neither use the travel agencies in my trips nor travel to the standard touristic routes. I look at the world with my eyes wide opened and each time I get to a familiar place I see it in a new way. I really believe that the secret of the great trip is that I am as interested in it as you do!
I promise to show you Mulhacen in a special way not like a boring guide for whom tourists are just a regular routine group. The second reason is that I know these places well and I will guide you through a safe but beautiful route. Thirdly, due to my trekking experience I know how to behave in the mountains, to understand the weather, to calculate the risks and to solve the problems that can occur in the mountains.
And finally I do speak Spanish!
So, join our great adventure – the trekking to the Mulhacen peak right now! This is not an ordinary tour with porters and cooks. Everyone will carry their stuff themselves. Overnight stays will be in the mountain shelters as well as in the tents. We carry the food and we cook ourselves. The equipment needed can be rented and I can give you recommendations of what is necessary.
The trip lasts for 7 days. Spanish Rioja, tapas and gourmet delicacies at the best restaurants of Granada are waiting for the brave trekkers on their way back.
